Biography
A family Bible in the possession of William's descendants places his birth in 1820; census records suggest it may have been later. He was born in what was then Burke County NC, traveled with his wife and five children to Louisa County, Iowa, in time to be recorded on the 1852 Iowa census, and died there c1852-53.
