John was born in 1820 in Authorpe, Lincolnshire, England. John immigrated to Australia, arriving on the 14th of December, 1840 on the ship Fairfield.[1]He married Elizabeth Rogers in 1841.[2] He passed away in Gawler in 1860.[3][4]
