Biography

Alfred Balmforth, son of John Balmforth and Mary Lambert, ^{[1] [2]} was born in about November 1866 in Rochdale, Lancashire. ^{[2] [3]} He was baptised on 11 November 1866 at St James, Wardleworth, Lancashire. ^[1] He died in about February 1944, his death was registered in Liverpool North, Lancashire. ^[4]

On 2 April 1871 in Wardleworth, Lancashire, with his parents John Balmforth and Mary Balmforth, his siblings Helen Balmforth aged 23, Hester Florence Balmforth aged 14, Frank Balmforth aged 12, Benny L. Balmforth aged 10, William Albert Balmforth aged 8 and Fanny Balmforth aged 6 and a servant Elizabeth Wite aged 23. ^{[5] [6]}

On 3 April 1881 in Noon Sun Street, Wardleworth, Lancashire, with his parents John Balmforth and Mary Balmforth and his siblings Hester Florence Balmforth aged 24, Frank Balmforth aged 22 and William Albert Balmforth aged 18. ^[2]
