Biography

Harold Vivian Barham was born in 1902 at Catford, London. His birth was registered at Lewisham, London, in the fourth quarter of the year. He was the son of Harold Edmund Barham and Rose Marie ralls who married in 1897.^[1]

At the 1911 census the family were resident at Culverton, The Park, Sidcup, Kent. Details - father Harold Edmund Barham (41, chartered accountant, born ... Bedfordshire), mother Rose Marie Barham (37, born Castel, Guernsey), Vivian Harold Barham (8, born Catford, London) and sister Beryl Barham (3, born Sidcup, Kent). Also resident were a nursery governess, and two servants - cook and housemaid. This census also confirmed that Harold's parents had been married for thirteen years, and had had two children, both of whom were still living.

Harold V Barham first married in 1929 when he married Katie E I Buttemer. This marriage was registered at Guildford, Surrey, in the second quarter of the year.
