Biography

James Barker, son of James Barker and Elizabeth Tucker, was born in Dartmouth, Bristol County, Province of Massachusetts Bay, 19 Jul 1722.[2] Settled by Europeans in about 1652 and named for the town of the same name in Devon, England, the town of Dartmouth hugs the southern coast of modern Massachusetts, bordered on the north by Fall River, east by New Bedford, west by Westport and south by Buzzard's Bay.[3]

James died in Philadelphia, 19 Aug 1742, at age 20.[5]
