Tristram was born 2-22-1745 (Old Style) to William Barnard and Mary Coffin. (His birth has also been recorded as 5, 3mo, 1743[1] but the source isn't as reliable as the Quaker records.) January 2, 1766 he married Margaret Folger in Nantucket.[2] He moved his family to North Carolina.
Tristram passed in 1807 and is buried in the Deep River Friends Cemetery at Hight Point, Guilford County, North Carolina.[3] His oldest son, Asa, administered the bond when his estate went through probate in Stokes County, North Carolina.[4] Stokes borders Guilford on the east.[5]
