Biography

Moses Daniel Barney was born on December 19, 1886 in Monroe, Sevier county, Utah Territory, United States. He is the son of Benjamin Franklin Barney and Priscilla Ann Shepherd.

He married Charlotta Frith on August 7, 1905 in Junction, Piute County, Utah.[1][2][3] They had four children.

  1. Daniel La Gerald Barney was born on May 13, 1906 in Joseph, Sevier County, Utah.[4]
  2. An unnamed twin son was born and died on February 7, 1908 in Parowan, Iron County, Utah.[5]
  3. An unnamed twin son was born and died on February 7, 1908 in Parowan, Iron County, Utah.
  4. Sarah Ina Barney was born on March 7, 1909 in Parowan.[6]

He married Julia Taylor on March 18, 1912 in St. George, Washington County, Utah.[7][8][9] They had more than six children.

  1. LaVerna Barney was born on July 14, 1913 in New Harmony, Washington County, Utah.[10]
  2. Leah Priscilla Barney was born in 1915.
  3. Lawrence D Barney was born in 1917.
  4. Pearl Aner Barney was born in 1919.
  5. Wilford Taylor Barney was born in 1921.
  6. Lamond Barney was born in 1923.

He married Hattie Winn on October 15, 1937 in idaho Falls, Bonneville County, Idaho.[11][12][13]

He was a talented musician and spent most of his time playing his fiddle and violin. He composed some of his own music.

Moses Daniel passed away on March 2, 1958 in Idaho Falls, Bonneville County, Idaho. He is buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Idaho Falls.[14][15][16][17]
