Biography

Andrew Jackson Bartee was born on 20 December 1833 in Tennessee, United States, son of William Ballard Bartee (1808–1838) and Mary Walker (before 1816–about 1834).

Andrew (20) married Eliza Louisa Elliott (18) (born on 5 December 1835 in Tennessee) on 3 April 1854 in Montgomery County, Tennessee.[1] Their known children were:

  1. Martha Bartee (about 1853 – before 1907) .
  2. Mary Ozella Bartee (about 1855 – 13 March 1942) .
  3. William Ballard Bartee (31 March 1858 – 25 December 1887) .
  4. Samuella Bartee (about 1860 – unknown) .
  5. Joseph Bailey Bartee (0 January 1863 – unknown) .
  6. Jesse James Bartee (0 February 1869 – 0 November 1907) .
  7. Louisa Bartee (23 January 1871 – unknown) .
  8. Beulah Bartee (before 1876 – unknown)

Andrew died on 4 January 1890 in Tennessee, aged 56.[2]
