Biography

Jonathan is the son of William & Rachel (Williston) Bassett. He married Mary Gale, daughter of Abraham and Sarah (Fiske) Gale, on 14 May 1708 at Sandwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts.[1] They had children:[2]

  • Jonathan, b. 10 Sep 1709[3]
  • Bethia, b. 10 Mar 1710-1;[4]

Jonathan died before February 22, 1720-1, the date his father, William Bassett, made his will. In his will, William named his daughter-in-law, Mary Bassett, as well as Jonathan's daughter Bethiah Bassett, and his son, Jonathan Bassett.[2]

After Jonathan's death, Mary married Ichabod Hinckley.[5]
