Chairman of Forbes branch of Graziers Association of New South Wales; vice chairman of Dubbo War Agricultural committee; New South Wales Executive Boy Scouts Association. Recreational pursuits include tennis and swimming. Personal Son of William Bassett, farmer, and Jane Irvine. Married Elizabeth Breen on 12 July 1911 at Canowindra and had issue, 1 daughter and 4 sons.
