When Ellen was about 18 she married James Sephton on 27 February 1831 in Warrington, Lancashire. ^[2]

In 1841 Ellen was living in Burtonwood with her husband and 2 children. ^[3]

In 1851 Ellen was living in Burtonwood with her husband and 4 children. Her husband was an agricultural labourer. ^[4]

In 1861 Ellen was living in Burtonwood. ^[5]

Ellen died at the age of about 49 and was buried on 2 March 1862 in Burtonwood. ^{[6] [7]}
