Biography

On the 29th May 1867 (six months after her husband Peter went to the Falklands) - Elizabeth (27) and two sons William (3) & Robert (10mths) sailed to the Falklands to join him on the Barque "Epsilon". The three of them arrived in Stanley on the 12th Aug 1867. Elizabeth's father was recorded as William Bateman. After the death of her first husband, Elizabeth married Franklin. The witnesses to their marriage were Enoch Gleadell and Sarah Gleadell. Elizabeth was living at Teal Inlet at this time.
