Frank was born in 1858. he is the son of Robert Batten and Sarah Pouchard . [1] (A previous baby, William Francis had passed away as a baby).
In 1861 Francis was one of 4 children living with parents Sarah and Robert in Bristol. Robert was a Boot Maker. [2]
