Biography

Johann Thomas Bauer was born ca 1715 (based on marriage) as son of Andreas Bauer and his wife.

Marriage: He married 1 Mar 1735 in Spöck, near Karlsruhe, Anna Barbara Stober. The entry reads:

[1735] Eodem die (= 1. Mart.) sind copulirt worden Johann Thomas Bauer, weyl. Andreae Bauern, geweßten Beysitzers auf dem Fürstl. Hoff bey Marbach ehel. lediger Sohn, Wagnerhandwercks, und Anna Barbara, weyl. Georg Stobers, geweßten Bürgers allhier hinterbliebene ledige Tochter. ^[1]

Translation: "On the same day (= March 1st) got married the bachelor Johann Thomas Bauer, a wagon builder by trade, legitimate son of the late Andreas Bauer, former assessor at the pincely manor near Marbach; and the maiden Anna Barbara, legitimate daughter of the late Georg Stober, former citizen here."

Research Notes

With his brother, Michael, he immigrated in 1737. He has children baptized by Johann Casper Stoever, p41 top left. Wife Barbara is named just a few lines below.
