Elizabeth's parents were Daniel Bayless and Louisa Elizabeth Nelson.[1]
Research Notes
Elizabeth's maiden name appears in various records with an astounding variety of spellings. The preferred spelling among the families in Adams County, Ohio seems to be Bayless. It is difficult to be certain, as the Adams County courthouse suffered a fire in 1910, and many records were lost. More information about her family may be included in a possible obituary in The Lacon Home Journal; however, most of the 1917 issues are not available online yet. They are listed as available at the Marshall County Historical Society on microfilm.
