George was born in 1852 in Mississippi. In 1880 George, black, age 28 and his wife, Efa, mulattio, age 26, were farming in Jones County. Also in residence was Jacob Anderson, black, age 28, who was divorced and working as a hired hand.
Research Notes
Based on the 1870 U.S. Census for Jack and Adaline Baylis, George "might" be the son of Adaline and her first partner before she met Jack. More research needed.
