Biography

I was born in Johannesburg in 1936, the first child of my parents, Paddy and Reta Beardwood. We lived in a rented house at 51 Worcester Road, Parkwood. At age 3 years, we moved to 91 Galway Road, Parkview where we lived for 5 years. My first 4 year's of schooling were spent at Parkview Junior School. The family moved again to Rosebank, Johannesburg and thereafter to 16 Whitely road, Melrose North where my father built and owned our first family home. My schooling during this period was in the hands of the Marist Brothers, at St Davids School, Inanda. I transferred to a boarding school, St Aidans College, in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape Province, for the final four years of schooling. The school was run by priests of the Catholic Order of Jesuits, who gave us a truly wonderful, holistic and fulfilling educational experience.

I hope this reaches the appropriate manager!! I need some advice concerning my Beardwood Tree names; Beardwood#4 was relegated to a holding position about 2014 due to business pressure, and Beardwood #71 was started recently as I could not find my way into #4 and now think it would be appropriate to try to amalgamate both into one collection as the contents are interchangeable!! Beardwood4 dates back to 2014 and a little later, while Beardwood71 is very young.

I would appreciate some advice on how to combine both into a unified family tree. The time interval between the #4 and the start of #71is about 10 years by my having to deal with some complex business activities during that peripd thereby neglecting the inputs etc of the first family tree I trust that your team will be able to provide some help but if necessary I will abandon the one and try to link the information via the long route but hope that will not be necessary. My apologies for this intrusion and I hope there will be a way to short-circuit the problem. Thank you, C J Beardwood
