John and Margaret had one son, John Drummond Beare, born on March 15, 1898[1].
John and Margaret's headstone, in addition to their names, is inscribed, Also infant son, John Drummond, died April 1897. The closest record found is for a John D. Beare, who died in Scarborough Township on March 18, 1898, at the age of 2 days, from infantile convulsions. The informant was Chas. Drummond, M.D.[2]
John was buried with his parents at Armadale Free Methodist Cemetery, in Scarborough, Ontario.
