Biography
Mary (Beckenbaugh) Fry lived in Appalachia, in Pennsylvania.
This is the same family as Beckenbach, Peckenpaugh and Pickenpaugh. The branch that originally settled in MD was known as Beckenbaugh.
Mary was born in 1794. She was the daughter of George Beckenbach and Susan Unknown. She passed away in 1872.
After her husband, Abraham Fry, died after returning from procuring the family farm in Licking Co.,OH,Mary went on to the farm.She took her 6 children and, being pregnant with her 7th, loaded up the wagon with all their belongings and travelled to Ohio , camping at night along the road.
