      3. ) Horace resided in Watertown, Jefferson, NY area from 1840 to 1865. He then lived in Allegany County on and off until his death. In 1880, both he and daughter Jane, wife of Dr. Irving Truman, were living in Belmont.
      4. ) At his death in Allegany County, Horace was still the owner of a parcel in land in Watertown. His youngest daughter brought a case to the Jefferson County Surrogate Court to settle the matter of Horace's legal heirs. These were determined to be his children Jane, Charles and Charlotte, and his wife, Sarah A. Beebe.
      5. ) In the course of the proceedings, Horace was identified as the brother of Seymour McKee Beebe, a documented son of Sterling Waters Beebe and Huldah Stone. "
