Biography

Nathan Beers was the oldest son of Barnabas, of Connecticut, and thus received two shares of his father’s estate to his siblings’ one share each, but in 1720 he moved to Middletown, in Monmouth County, New Jersey – clear on the other side of New York from Connecticut, selling his inheritance to his brothers. A deed from Stratford Land Records, V.3,p.21 dated 21 May 1722 starts – “I, Nathan Beers of Middletown in the County of Monmouth in ye eastern division in the New Jerseys for consideration of 40 pounds paid to me by my brother, Joseph Beers of Stratford in the County of Fairfield in the Colony of Conn…” conveyed the land and dwelling that had belonged to his father.

There, Nathan disappears from official records.

A 1722 land sale record conveys his inheritance to his brothers. In it, he says he is a resident of Monmouth Co, New Jersey. [1] Some think he is the father of Jabez Beers (1722-1777) but no record of any children can be found, although some inherited family histories may leave clues.

Nathan Beers(1691) was not married to Elizabeth Harvey but his grandson Nathan Nivison(1760)was the husband. Nathan's mother was Hannah Beers, daughter of Nathan Beers. I don't know about this Anna Beach; there are other Nathan Beers including his son.
