Obituary CANKTON - Funeral services will be held Monday, February 18, 2013 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton for Carole Ann Menard, age 67, the former Carole Ann Begnaud, who passed away Friday, February 15, 2013 at Acadia-St. Landry Hospital in Church Point. Interment will be in St. John Berchmans Cemetery in Cankton.

Musical selections will be provided by Marc Conque. The songs will be Amazing Grace, The Old Rugged Cross, One Bread, One Body, How Great Thou Art and Twenty Third Psalm. Readers will be Kim LaGrange and Kasey Veazy. Giftbearers will be Doris Gibson and Cheryl Veazy.

Mrs. Menard was a native of Carencro and a resident of Cankton. She was the co-owner of Scurdy's Car Wash and Trailer Park with her husband for eighteen years. Mrs. Menard was a parishioner of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church of Cankton.

Survivors include her husband of fifty years, Scurdy Joseph Menard of Cankton; two sons, Chad Menard and his wife, Amy, and Shane Menard and his wife, Renee, all of Cankton; four grandchildren, Matthew Menard, Drake Menard and his companion, Maranda Bernard, Hailey Menard and Shana Menard; two brothers, Bobby Begnaud and his wife, Jane, and Larry Begnaud and his wife, Aline, all of Carencro; and two sisters, Doris Gibson of Lafayette and Cheralan Veazy and her husband, Robert, all of Carencro.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Noicé Begnaud and the former, Lilla Mae Kilchrist, both natives of Carencro.

Pallbearers will be Chad Menard, Shane Menard, Drake Menard, Marshall Menard, Bobby Begnaud and Larry Begnaud.

Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4615 N University Ave, Louisiana was in charge of arrangements.
