He married Ann Sobey in 20 Sep 1818 in Kenwyn, Cornwall [2]
In 1822 he and his brother William and father Henry were involved in a Bastardy Bond dated 1822 [3]. In it it makes provision for a woman named Martha Cullom who gave birth to a son (which of them was the father is not stated). Provision was made to pay Martha 2 shillings a week. The document states that he was a Butcher. The father of the child seems to be William as he was declared the father in the child's birth record [4]
The 1841 census gives him living at Charles Street, Kenwyn, Cornwall with his wife's mother Elizabeth Sobey, his wife Ann and children:
