Minnie (Beitz) Eather was born in the Colony of Queensland (1859-1900)

Minnie May Christina (Beitz) Eather was born on 10 Mar 1889 near Roma, Colony of Queensland, daughter of Carl Frederick Beitz Jr. (1855 - ) and Rachel Ann Carr (1864 - 1939).^[1]

She married Charles herbert Eather on the 11th of October 1905 in Queensland, Australia.^[2]

Minnie died on 20 Oct 1941 in Moree, New South Wales, Australia aged 52^[3] and was buried in Moree Cemetery (Church of England Sect 3 Plot 12).^[4] Her obituary appeared in the local press:^[5]

OBITUARY. Mrs. M. Eather

The death occurred on Monday, in the Moree District Hospital, of Mrs. Minnie Eather, wife of Mr. Charles Eather, of Boston Street, Moree, aged 52 years. Born at Amby, Queensland, the late Mrs. Eather went to reside at Garah with her husband shortly after their marriage, and remained there until about three years ago, when they came to Moree to live. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons and six daughters, the sons being Messrs John, Leslie and Ronald Eather (Moree), and Pte. Walter Eather (A.I.F.), and the daughters Mrs. Fletcher (Junee), Mrs. A. Gough (Garah), Mrs. L. Taylor (Moree), and the Misses Rachel, Marion, and Joan Eather (Moree). The funeral took place on Tuesday morning, the remains being interred in the Church of England portion of the cemetery, Ven. Archdeacon Border administering the last sad rites. Messrs Logan and Co. Pty. Ltd. carried out the mortuary arrangements.
