Barbara Belasyse is the daughter of Thomas Belasyse and Barbara Cholmley.[1]

Barbara's husband was Henry Slingsby (1601 - 1658),[3] Baronet Scriven, a Royalist politician and soldier who fought at the Battle of Naseby and was beheaded in 1658 for his part in an attempt to restore the monarchy. The marriage in 1631 produced four children including Barbara Slingsby.[4]
