Biography
John was baptised on 24 April 1831 in Down Ampney by parents William and Rachel. William was a Game Keeper. [1]
On 13 June 1850 John married Sarah Hewer in Down Ampney. They were both servants. Sarah's father was John, a Labourer. Joseph and Eliza Belcher were witnesses. [2]
In 1861 John and Sarah were living in Down Ampney with 2 children. John was an Agricultural Labourer. [3] Sarah died aged 47 in 1867.
On 31 May 1868 John married again, to Charlotte Woodward in Cirencester. They both lived at Bowlin Green. John was a labourer, his father John was a Game Keeper. Charlotte's father John was a Labourer. [4]
In 1881 John and Charlotte were living in Caterham, Surrey with 6 children. John was an Agricultural Labourer. [5]
John died aged 70 in 1902. His death was registered in Godstone, Surrey. [6]
