John was born about 1845. He was the son of Tobias Belcher and Margaret Milam.[1][2][3]
Married Charlotte Lusk on 28 September 1871 at Wyoming County, Virginia.[4] Their marriage dissolved before 1880 when John was living with his two daughters and two bothers in McDowell, West Virginia.[5]
Married Christine Bell on 31 May 1881 at Wyoming County, West Virginia.[6]
