Biography

Selina Belshaw was born in Timperley, Cheshire, England.

Selina Belshaw was born on 3 August 1866 at Timperley, Cheshire^[1][2]. Her father's occupation in 1866 was railway guard. Her mother registered the birth n 18 August 1866^[1]. Her parents were Robert Belshaw and Catherine Brierly ^[1][2].

In 1871 she was 4 living in 7 Russel Street, Altrincham, Cheshire, England with her parents and seven siblings^[2].

In 1881 she was living at 50 Oxford Road, Altrincham, Cheshire, England with her widowed mother and 5 siblings. Her sister Ann had married and her husband and three children also lived with them. She was a " Pupil Teacher at School" (aged 14).^[3].

She married Charles Winn on July 24, 1889 at Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, Bowden, Altrincham ^[4][5]. Together they had 2 children:

1. Charles Winn,
2. Basil Winn.

In 1891 at 23 she was living at Clifton Avenue, Altrincham, Cheshire, England with her husband Charles, her stepson Roland and her son Basil^[6]

In 1901 she was living at Richmond Ashley Road, Hale, Cheshire, England with her husband and two sons Basil and Charles. Rowland was staying with his grandmother. It is not know if this as temporary or permaent. ^[7].

It is thought that she died about 1921^[8].
