Biography
John was the son of Peter and Magdalene (Stryker) Benham, and the brother of Sarah, James, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Jacob, Peter, Letty Anna, and Lilly. He was born in Ohio in 1830. He moved with his family to Carroll County, Indiana, in the late 1830's. His father was a farmer.
John married Margaret Ann Davis on March 23, 1854, in Carroll County, Indiana. Their children were Alice, James, Charles, and Reed. John was a farmer in Carroll County, Indiana. He died between 1870 and 1880.
