Biography

Delsey Arthur Benjamin, son of Oliver N. Benjamin and Laura A. (Lovely) Benjamin, was born on 2 May 1876 at Fowlerville, Livingston County, Michigan.^[1][2] He appeared on the census of 4 June 1880 in the home of his parents at Handy, Livingston County, Michigan.^[3]

In 1900 Delsey is listed as a "son" of Larry Badger in Pennfield, Calhoun, Michigan. I believe there is a transcription error and this is really Laura his mother.

He married Elma Jenkins, daughter of George B. Jenkins and Frances (Rogers) Jenkins,^[2] about 1903.

He was a real estate agent with his own office when he and Elma appeared on the census of 4 May 1910 at Jackson Ward 2, Jackson County, Michigan.^[4] He and Elma appeared on the census of 15 January 1920 at Jackson Ward 3, Jackson County, Michigan.^[5]

Delsey died on 30 May 1943 at Jackson, Jackson County, Michigan and was buried at Woodland Cemetery, Jackson, Jackson County, Michigan.^[1] His memorial has photos, biographical material and links to those of family members.^[2]
