Biography

Beatrice Louisa Bennett was born Shaftesbury, Dorset, 1881. [1]

She was the daughter of Edwin Bennett & Caroline [Greenstock]. [2]

Aged 9 in 1891 she resided Alcester, Dorset, with her widowed mother and two siblings. [3]

Aged 19 in 1901 she resided Alcester with her mother and sister. [4]

She married Unknown Johnston around 1907 (estimated based on 1908 birth of son). [5]

Their children included:

  1. 1908 Albert Johnston.
  2. 1911 Rhoda Annie Louise Johnston.

Her husband died 1910/1911. [5]

Aged 29 in 1911 she was a widowed unemployed domestic servant visiting the home of farrier George Witten in Fulham, London, with her son Albert Johnston. [5]

She married secondly Arthur H Sayers, Fulham 1913. [6]

Beatrice died aged 80, London 1961. [7]

Relative Janice Bennett claims that Beatrice married Harry Albert Johnson (not "Johnston").[8] This can't be possible because Harry was married to Annie Edwards between 1901-1911.
