Biography
George Alfred Lemaitre dit Bellenoix dit Bellecroix was born on October 5, 1833 at (Louiseville) Saint-Antoine-de-la-Rivière-du-Loup, Lower Canada. He was baptized George Alfred Lemaitre dit Bellenoix on this same day.[1]
He is the son of Joseph Lemaitre dit Bellenoix and Euphrosine Motard dite Lamothe.[2]
He married Catherine Dunn, daughter of John Dunn and Marguerite Connors, on July 31, 1854 at Ile-du-Grand-Calumet, Lower Canada.[3] In this document George's mother is stated to be Marguerite Larivière; this could be the one married to Ignace-Amable Benoit dit Laguerre
