Biography
In 1861 Matthew was a farmer in Camden Township, Lennox and Addington County, Canada West. He and his wife Nancy had three children: Caroline, Manly and Ephriam. [1] He had siblings: John Benson and Peter Benson.
Birth
Matthew was born about 1805 in Marysville, Hastings, Ontario, Canada. His parents were Albert Benson and Jannetje (Jane) Van Blaricom.
Marriage
Matthew was married to Nancy Matilda Ruttan.
