Biography
Ralph was born in 1872. He is the son of Conrad Berendt and Elizabeth Freeman. [1]
I cannot find death certificate; a descendent Tina Taylor advises that he died (unmarried) in Mt Margaret, Australia in 1899 (Queensland or Western Australia?) That certainly ties up with another fact: When his father died in 1908 he was not paid a legacy from the proceeds of his life insureance policies, unlike his 6 other surviving siblings. His brother Ernest named his first-born son after him in 1907.
