Martin was born about 1826.

Martin Bergeron married Adele Plouf at St-Martin, Laval, Province Quebec on the 15th of October 1844. Martin was single and of majority age at the time. Adele Plouf was also single, but of minority age when they married. Martins' father Michel Bergeron was deceased at the time of Martins marriage, while his mother Catherine Renaud was alive and a resident of Laval.^[1]
