He married Amy Lenore Tobey and they had eight children together. He then married Martha A Nugen on December 10, 1891, in Franklin, Arkansas.
Pleasant passed away December 21, 1899 in Franklin County, Arkansas. He was later buried in Tate Cemetery located in Franklin County, Arkansas.
