New Documented Information - When Hattie was born, her birth mother died from childbirth fever. Her birthfather already had three other children. So she was carried for by a Bevins Aunt until she somehow came to her adoptive parents.

It has been passed down that Harriett (Hattie) Mae Wallace was dropped of on the door step of David Heigly/Heigley and his wife in the Mechanicsburg area. They were given the following: Surname - Bevin/Biven/Bivens? / Birthdate - May 24, 1879 / Place of Birth - Franklin County PA. Unsure if she was legally adopted or just raised. But the name she was give was Harriett Mae Heigley.
