In the Bibber genealogy I have by Rev. Sinnett done in 1922 it says that James 1 Bibber was born abt. 1706 and married Abigail Drew but does not give a date. It says he came to America in 1724 or 1725 which would make him 18 or 19 years old at that time. It then goes on to say that after 1725 he went back to the Isle of Jersey from where he came, and then Again returned to America when he was about 22 years old, which would mean he came back around 1729. It says James 1 died in 1773, Harpswell, ME. Someone else told me that Abigail Drew was born in 1714 Dover, NH and she died 1783 in Harpswell, ME. The puzzling parts to me are the "guess-timate" birthdates of their children. It says in this genealogy that James 2 Bibber was b. about 1757 on Bustins Island, ME, and then goes on to list a sister of his Sarah Bibber as having married Courtney Babbidge on Dec. 2, 1755. Well, if sister Sarah married in 1755, two years before her brother James 2 was even born, this says that Sarah was born somewhere around 1735. It also states that Sarah & Courtney's first children were born in the years 1756, 1758, 1760 etc....
Here is some info from the immigrant James Bibber's line.
