Biography
Stephen Bickford was born on 5 Feb 1802[1] in Smithfield, Somerset, Maine, son of Abijah Bickford (1770 - 1846) and Sarah (Cressey) Bickford (1779 - ~1834).
Stephen married Mary Polly Bickford , daughter of William Bickford and Mary Polly Barden. Their children were:
- Nason Bickford (1826 - 1909)
- Milford Abijah Bickford (1829 - 1920)
- Philip Bickford (1833 - 1880).
Stephen died about 1841[2] in Belgrade, Kennebec aged ~39.

- He was probably born in West Pond Plantation which became Dearborn in February 12, 1812 , a portion of Dearborn became Smithfield in 1840.
