Elizabeth Biddle was baptized on July 17, 1631 in Birlingham, Worcestershire, England. She was a daughter of Edward Biddle and Penelope Goodale.[1]
In her father's will of 9 Dec 1670 (proved 11 May 1672),
"Daughter Elizabeth (Biddle) Stone was to receive ten pounds upon the death of her husband, and Thomas Stone, Edward's oldest grandson, was left five pounds to pay for an apprenticeship upon his thirteenth birthday."[2]

Her brother William immigrated to West Jersey and received news of his family back in England from other Quakers in 1686-1687.
"Edward Biddle, his brother, had a wife Anne and children Edward and Mary... his oldest brother, Thomas, had died in March 1684/5, leaving the family home to his wife Mary for her lifetime. They had no children. His sister, Elizabeth (Biddle) Stone, was well and living in Kinnersly Green, in the Parish of Severn Stoke. His sister Jane and her husband Thomas Taylor were also well. The children of his deceased brother Richard were in good health..."[4]
