John Summerfield Bigby was born on February 13, 1832 in Coweta, Georgia, United States.
John (21) married Mary Catherine Dougherty (18) (born on August 22, 1835 in Newnan, Coweta, Georgia) on December 20, 1853 in Coweta County, Georgia.[1]
John (39) married Elizabeth K McClendon (17) (born in 1853 in Coweta) on November 28, 1871 in Coweta County, Georgia.[2]
John graduated from Emory College in Oxford, Georgia in 1853. He was admitted to the bar in 1856 and began practicing law in Newnan, Georgia. He also served as a member of the United States House of Representatives from March 4, 1871- March 3, 1873.[3]
John died on March 28, 1898 in Atlanta, Fulton, Georgia, aged 66.[4][5]
