Biography

Luna Myrtle (Biggers) Hitt was born on August 27, 1897 in Mississippi, United States. Her parents were Giles Manuel Atkinson (1837 - 1917) and Laura Ann (Fair) Atkinson (1857 - 1922).

Luna died on June 27, 1968 in Arkansas aged 70.^[1]

Research Notes

Note: I' m guessing that the two children shown living in the G. M. Atkinson (15867) household in the 1910 Census were those of his wife Laura (17429) by a previous marriage. Them age previous wife Sarah R. Gray (2897) would have made it unlikely for her to have children of this age. Since they are listed in the Census under the name 'Atkinson', I assume G. M. adopted them. But this may just be a Census enumeration error. JDS(15856, 09/27/05)
