Biography
Arthur Brooks Bilbrough was born in 1840 in Yorkshire, England (United Kingdom). [1]
He became an apprentice with the "White Star" Line, a shipping company in Liverpool, Lancashire, England, in 1856. In 1860 he moved to London, England, becoming a partner with Albert Cook and Henry Threlfall Wilson in a brokerage firm named H. T. Wilson, Cook & Co. In 1862, with the death of Albert Cook, he became the sole partner with Henry Wilson and the firm was renamed Wilson, Bilbrough &Co.
In 1863, Arthur Bilbrough married Agnes Hodgson in Gloucestershire, England. [2]
He passed away in 1925 in Kent, England. [3]
