Biography

Mrs. Bertha Leticia Mansfield, 92, a resident of RFD 1, Bogard, died early this morning at the Chillicothe hospital, where she had been a patient for a week.
Born at Sampsel Nov. 24, 1878, she was the daughter of Calvin P. Bills and Ann Usher Bills. She attended the Boucher school at Sampsel and was a member of the Lock Springs United Methodist Church.
In 1894, she was married to Oliver Mansfield at Gallatin.
Survivors include four sons, Nova Mansfield, Bogard; Ray Mansfield, Tina; Ralph Mansfield, Kearney, and Wilbur Mansfield, Braymer; a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Mae Brightwell, Chillicothe; a sister, Mrs. Lucy Brookshire, Milan; two brothers, John Bills, Chillicothe, and Harry Bills, Camdenton; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters and a brother.
Memorial services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Dickerson Rice Funeral Home in Bogard. Interment will be in the Coloma cemetery.
