Biography

When John Arthur Billson was born on 4 May 1880 in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, his father, Joseph, was 45 and his mother, Esther, was 45. He married Edith Mary Jarman in 1906 and they had one daughter together. His wife Edith Mary passed away on 11 July 1931 in Leicestershire at the age of 49. They had been married 25 years.

John served in the military on 16 December 1919 when he was 39 years old.

He then married Susan Quinn in 1939 and they had one son together. He died on 29 April 1947 in Hazel Grove, Cheshire, at the age of 66.
