Biography

Elsie was born 7th July 1914^[1] at 8 Stuart Street, Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, to parents George Bingley and Eliza Parnell. She was baptised on 3rd August 1914 at St Mary's Church Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.^[2]

In 1921, she was living with her parents and siblings at 8 Stuart Street, Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. ^[3]

She married Hedley Corbett on 9th April 1938^[4] at the Primitive Methodist Chapel, Albert Street, Stanton Hill. ^[5]

On the 1939 England & Wales Register, viewed at Ancestry, via subscription, Hedley & Elsie Corbett were living at Clumber Street, Sutton in Ashfield. Elsie gave her occupation as "Unpaid Domestic Duties". They had no children at the time. ^[6]

She passed away in 1987 at Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.^[7]
