Biography

George was born about 1775^[1] in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England and baptised at St. Peter's Church, Mansfied on 4th February 1775. ^[2] He was the son of Gamaliel Bingley and Mary White.

He married Ann Shaw by licence on 9th June 1797 at St Peter's Church, Mansfield. ^[3][4]

George & Ann had seven children between 1797-1809, including: Mary Anne Bingley (1806-)

After Ann's death, George Bingley married Elizabeth Darlow on 6th June 1813, at St Peter's Church, Mansfield. (Elizabeth signs "Darley") ^[5][6]

George & Elizabeth had six children between 1814-1824.

In 1841, George & Elizabeth were living at Thompson's Alley, Westgate, Mansfield. ^[7]

The 1851 census records George & Elizabeth living at Ratcliffe Gate, Mansfield. ^[1]

He died at Ratcliffe Gate, Mansfield in 1855^[8] and was buried at St Peter's Church, Mansfield on 6th November 1855.^[9]
