Biography

Born in 1863 in South Yarra, Annie was then baptised on 8 May 1864 at Christ Church, south Yarrta.

She then made the journey with her parents to England, aboard the Dover Castle which Departed Melbourne in May 1870 for London. By the time the 1871 Census was taken they were living in Hendon, and Sarah's cousin Elizbeth Cox was also living with them. George's occupation was "late hotel manager in Australia" reflecting their recent arrival.

By the time the 1881 Census happened they moved to Marylebone and Sarah's father had died.
