In the 1841 census Lawson (age 1) was in Great Linford, Buckinghamshire, England.^[2]

In the 1851 census Lawson (age 11) was the son of Richd Bird in St Pancras, Middlesex, England.^[3]

Lawson departed England on 10 Jan 1855 and arrived in Australia on 16 April 1855 on the Rose of Sharon.^[4]

He married Mary Miller in 1861^[5], who passed away one year later. He then married Elizabeth Grimshaw in 1864.^[6]

He passed away in 1923.^[7][8]
