Biography

It appears that Joseph was baptised by his parents, Joseph and "Susan" Bishop on 10th February 1822 in Tamworth[1]
In 1841, 15 year old Joseph is living with his mother in Wilnecote[2]
In 1851, 29 year old Joseph is living with his wife and children in Wilnecote Village[3]. He is working as a tile maker.
In 1861, 39 year old Joseph is living with his wife, Mary Ann, in Cannock Road, Wolverhampton[4]. He is working as a railway porter.
In 1871, 49 year old Joseph is living with his wife, Mary Ann, in Cannock Road, Wolverhampton[5]
In 1881, 59 year old Joseph is living with his wife in 99 Lower Stafford St, Wolverhampton[6]. His occupation is possibly "warehouseman".
Joseph appears to have died in 1886[7]

Research Notes

It is not 100% certain that the baptism record is correct, although there are no other matching ones and it is interesting that the district recorded for Wilnecote in the 1841 census is also Tamworth. On the basis of probability, I believe this to be correct.
